This auction if for a 1978 jeep j10 4wd pickup truck with 45,874 certified miles as pa title documents. I am selling this jeep j10 pickup because my mechanic has not found the time to do the small amount of mechanical work required to restore the vehicle during the past two years. This j10 was purchased brand new by a philadelphia based landscaping company in 1978 and was used to haul mulch and other odd jobs between 1978 and 1998 - which explains the documented low milage. It was last inspected in december 1998 as the pa window sticker documents - and was stored in a dry equipment shed until two years ago when i purchased it. It was never used as a plow truck and very rarely driven in winter. I had the carburetor completely rebuilt - and it runs and drives well from a gas can. All of the electronics and mechanical equipment work exactly as they should - including the 4wd. I purchased this jeep j10 because it is the absolute perfect restoration project. The last two j10 trucks that i restored sold for $ 14,000 and $ 17,000 - and there is one currently offered for sale on ebay for $ 25,000. I have already purchased and i am including the major parts to restore this jeep j10 that include :brand new rebuilt steering column from ca ( cost $ 1,000 )brand new fuel tank ( cost $ 300 )brand new fuel tank sending unit ( cost $ 100 )brand new complete carpet set for from cab that is match to factory original ( cost $ 300 )the tires hold air but will all need to be replaced. The brake lines, etc have not been touched since 1998 - so plan on replacing them. The original headliner, glass, dashboard, door panels, radio, etc are all in excellent condition. The jeep j10 has extremely little rust - which is documented in the pictures. The front floor boards will need attention and truck needs new battery.
