Here we have what must be the most unique looking and interesting small cars on the road-the nissan cube (nissan says the ''c'' is never capitalized). Like the mini, nissan was brave enough to name their vehicle what it is-in this case, a cube. But to say that the nissan is just a box on wheels would sell it short, because the cube is long on personality. Styling cue 2: the oval front side window surrounds were inspired by picture frames. Maybe, since most people driving them do seem to be smiling. Styling cue 3: the cube's asymmetrical wraparound glass on the right rear corner... Function follows form here, as the visibility is excellent in this area. The cube's driving experience is as much of a surprise as the exterior. Where competitors like the mini, fit and xb are aimed at performance, the cube is designed to be a super-comfy cruiser. The ride is impressively quiet and comfortable, while its overall size and quick steering make for a handy around-town handler. Another pleasant surprise is the composed and relaxed ride at freeway speeds, making this one of the few small cars that's as good for long trips as it is for hopping around town.
